Dolphins
Overview and objectives
- Swimmers are expected to have the foundations to all strokes.
- To prepare swimmers for an introduction to competition and Swim England pathways.
- To develop technical skills in the four strokes, starts and turns.
- 3 hours of pool training sessions are available each week.
- Swimmers in this group are working their way through the SSC development pathway, looking to move through to Junior Development when competent.
Competitions
Swimmers are encouraged to 'dip their toe' in the realms of competitive swimming:
- Club Championships
- Diddy League
- Swimgainz Junior Development League (where relevant)
Aims, commitment and attitude
- Swimmers are encouraged maintain regular attendance.
- Swimmers must be capable of managing the demands of training at the level appropriate to the group.
- Swimmers are expected to show a positive attitude with a desire to improve and progress to the next level.
- Swimmers are given (when appropriate) the opportunity to represent Stourbridge Swimming Club at team events.
- Swimmers are expected to be respectful to other club members, coaches, volunteers and officials.
- Exemplary behaviour is expected and swimmers must abide by the ‘Club Code of Conduct’ on the understanding that they are representing the club at all times.
