Flexibility & Pre Pool
Swimmers should ideally be poolside no later than 15 minutes prior to each training session.
Our pre-pool mobility exercises can be obtained via our Junior Performance Coach - Tom Burchell.
- It is important to do pre-pool exercises before you swim so that you don’t pick up any injuries during training and to enable you to perform at your best in the pool.
- Start at the top with your head/neck and work your way down the body so you don’t forget anything.
- We are looking to Raise, Mobilise, Activate and Prime muscles, ready for specific activity.
- Each exercise should be performed gently with specificity. Guidance from your coach is advised.
- Swimmers will not perform/train at their best when a pre-pool warm up has not been completed
